Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor plays a critical role in managing and overseeing electrical operations within an organization or on a specific project. This position demands expertise in electrical systems, a strong grasp of safety standards, and an ability to lead and mentor a team of electricians and technicians. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be instrumental in the planning and execution of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, within budget, and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements. This role requires dynamic problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure that electrical systems are functional, up-to-date, and optimized for the organization’s needs, supporting operational goals and maintaining high levels of electrical safety and reliability.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of electricians and other electrical workers on site.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and industry regulations at all times.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Plan and schedule electrical work to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to electrical staff members as needed.
  • Develop and implement plans for electrical system upgrades and improvements.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for electrical projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure electrical work aligns with organizational goals.
  • Document and report on electrical work progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Identify potential electrical hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to improve team skills and safety awareness.
  • Ensure sufficient inventory of electrical supplies and equipment is available at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of electrical and safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical certification required.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using electrical and technical equipment and software tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage budgetary constraints effectively.
