An Echo Technician, also known as a Cardiac Sonographer or Echocardiographer, is a crucial member of the healthcare team responsible for performing echocardiograms, a specialized medical imaging technique used to assess the heart's function and structure. Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to conduct echocardiography exams on patients.
• Prepare patients for echocardiogram procedures, answering any questions they have.
• Analyze and interpret test results, providing initial assessments to physicians.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure it operates effectively and safely.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in sonography or a related medical field.
• Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience performing echocardiograms in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients.
• Proficient technical skills for operating ultrasound equipment and software.
• Attention to detail to analyze images and ensure high-quality examinations.
