Job Description

As a Material Planner at Halcon, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and adequate supply of materials to support the production schedule and maintain optimal inventory levels. You will play a key role in managing production inputs, tracking inventory flows, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to prevent material shortages and ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and oversee the adequate supply of materials consistent with production schedules to ensure efficient flow of operations Execute
  • Create purchase requisitions based on demand projections to meet production and customer delivery timelines Execute
  • Analyze supply trends and customer demand to develop and maintain an optimized inventory plan Execute
  • Conduct inventory checks and audits to validate accuracy against defined target levels Supervise
  • Monitor materials flow to identify bottlenecks and forecast potential supply chain disruptions; adjust or cancel schedules accordingly Execute
  • Utilize SAP to manage planning processes and ensure accurate data entry and flow within the ERP system Execute
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Engineering, Procurement, Quality, etc.) to align on material status, engineering changes, and quality issues Support
  • Prepare and distribute regular statistical reports to stakeholders on inventory status and performance indicators Execute
  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce material waste Execute

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
  • 5–8 years of material planning and scheduling experience with a proven track record of managing multiple projects
  • Proficiency in SAP and strong understanding of ERP-based planning systems

Preferred:

  • 4+ years of regional and industry-related experience
  • Experienced SAP user in Material Planning
