As a Civil Site Engineer, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team managing construction projects from inception to completion. You will oversee the execution of the site activities ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications. Your role will involve organizing construction operations, ensuring the quality of workmanship, and facilitating timely project deliveries. This position requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage or work as part of a team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver successfully on a range of infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site construction activities ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers and architects to determine project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections of work to verify compliance with safety regulations.
• Prepare daily reports summarizing progress, construction discrepancies, and weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and provide updates on project progress.
• Develop detailed project schedules and monitor project timelines and budgets.
• Implement and enforce quality, safety, and health standards on site and with contractors.
• Solve complex construction issues, consulting with engineers and stakeholders as necessary.
• Ensure resources are utilized efficiently to complete tasks within project deadlines.
• Manage contracts and documentation related to site activities and vendor interactions.
• Oversee equipment and material deliveries and their onsite storage and handling.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, presentations, and reports to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working on construction project sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment is essential.
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills to manage site teams effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders and team members.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD and project management tools.
• Certification or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable.
