In this role as a Catering Cost and Systems Manager - you are accountable to establish Catering cost performance, reporting and financial planning & control systems and processes for ongoing management of cost performance ensuring compliance with business requirements in particular of EY Finance and by optimizing overall cost and catering system performance and benefits of EY ensuring delivery within budget.
Accountabilities
Accountable for the development, maintenance and enhancement of catering financial planning and cost performance activities including related systems, tools, processes & procedures and the cost and pricing module.
Responsible for accruals, preparation of all financial/cost & financial planning reports ensuring alignment with EY Finance .
Responsible for preparation of cost-benefit analysis and other financial reports to provide useful management information .
Manage gathering and input of all EY Food & Handling Menu/Pricing specifications into data warehouse system
Lead the development and maintenance of catering financial database manual of current and future business system processes in line with industry best practices and EY policies and procedures Track & analysis within database & business Object/Intelligence impact of changes pertaining to all costs to identify cost changes and trends to ensure catering budgets targets are achieved. Convert related data into decision making tools/formats and communicate financial planning recommendations to senior management both operationally and commercially.
Liaise with Sourcing & Procurement to initiate, track and monitor the Catering RFP processes and its documentation complying with EY governance policies and procedures
Ensure appointed catering service suppliers are billed (Auto payment disbursement) in accordance with agreed contractual rates.
Ensure all financial benefits from service suppliers are received and reconciled in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
Develop and manage self-audit program ensuring robust financial controls .
Manage and execute training of all staff and suppliers in all financial and planning modules of the system.
Education & Experience
Degree level education in business accounting, finance or related discipline is required, preferably with additional certification in catering processing and system .
Minimum of 8 years of airline catering experience with at least 4 years direct experience in airline finance .
Ability to manage initiatives and projects related to systems and automation of manual processes. Brings good knowledge of systems design, training and enhancements.
Highly numerate, in-depth knowledge of catering, catering finances and financial planning.
