Job Description

A Business Analyst plays a crucial role in an organization, serving as the bridge between various stakeholders, understanding business needs, and translating them into technical requirements. They are responsible for improving the efficiency of business processes through data-driven insights and strategies. Their ultimate goal is to identify problems, evaluate the needs of the business, and recommend solutions that will maximize the company’s value. Business Analysts work closely with project managers, IT teams, and other departments to ensure successful project implementation. They must have analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to effectively relay complex information in a manner that is easily understood by all stakeholders involved.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conduct market assessments and develop strategies based on industry trends and data analysis.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and define project scope with the stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines, ensuring project milestones are achieved on schedule.
  • Create comprehensive and accurate documentation such as business cases, user stories, and test plans.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure the technical development aligns with business requirements.
  • Conduct tests and validate the functionality of new systems to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide training and support to users and stakeholders on new systems and business processes.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and insights that inform business decision-making.
  • Maintain open, clear communication with all stakeholders to keep them informed of project status and updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Experience in creating detailed reports, plans, and documentation to support business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
