The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator is a vital role in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. This professional is tasked with ensuring effective BIM processes and projects to facilitate seamless collaboration across all stakeholders involved in construction projects. As a BIM Coordinator, you will be pivotal in bridging the gap between design and construction teams, ensuring model integrity, and creating strategies that aid in efficient project delivery. Responsibilities

  • Ensure BIM models are in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate BIM practices.
  • Review and manage the exchange of BIM models and associated data files.
  • Conduct quality checks and audits of BIM models to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain BIM protocols and guidelines to streamline processing.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align BIM objectives with overall project goals.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for team members on BIM software and processes.
  • Provide technical support and resolve issues related to BIM tools and resources.
  • Lead and attend meetings with project stakeholders to discuss BIM progress and updates.
  • Conduct regular assessments and improvements of BIM models and workflows.
  • Ensure data security and sharing protocols align with project and company policies.
  • Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in BIM coordination or a relevant role.
  • Proficient in using BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle stages.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for successful project delivery.
