Job Description

The Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that the organization's operations are conducted in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sustainable manner. This critical position involves developing, implementing, and managing QHSE policies and procedures to comply with legal requirements and meet organizational objectives. The QHSE Manager's role is to provide leadership and act as the central point of contact for all issues related to quality, health, safety, and environmental management. They are responsible for engaging with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Operating across various domains, they employ their expertise to mitigate risks, prevent losses, and drive sustainable business practices.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QHSE management systems in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify safety and environmental concerns.
  • Lead the investigation and evaluation of any incidents, accidents, or breaches of compliance.
  • Communicate QHSE standards and expectations across all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate training programs to enhance awareness of quality, health, safety, and environment.
  • Manage communication with regulatory agencies and ensure regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to QHSE policies, procedures, and performance.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to discuss and address QHSE initiatives.
  • Monitor technological advancements to apply best practices in QHSE management systems.
  • Provide reports and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Support operational managers with tools and resources to improve QHSE performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement strategies to enhance overall workplace safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience working in a QHSE management role.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience leading QHSE programs within a corporate or industrial setting.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess risks and develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Certification in safety management practices like NEBOSH or IOSH is highly advantageous.
