Responsibilities include setting up and operating sound systems, microphones, projectors, and other AV equipment, ensuring all technology functions smoothly during events, and identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise. The Audio Visual Technician must also be able to collaborate effectively with event coordinators and presenters to deliver high-quality AV experiences. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain audio and visual equipment for events, meetings, and presentations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to sound systems, microphones, projectors, and other AV equipment.
- Collaborate with event organizers and presenters to understand their technical requirements and provide appropriate AV solutions.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly connected and functioning correctly before events and make necessary adjustments during events as needed.
- Assist in the planning and execution of video recording and live streaming for events.
- Maintain an inventory of AV equipment, cables, and accessories and ensure they are properly organized and stored.
- Train users on how to operate AV equipment and provide technical support during events.
- Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in audio and visual equipment to provide innovative solutions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when setting up and operating AV equipment to prevent accidents or damage.
- Provide on-site support for events, including setting up and dismantling equipment, as well as assisting with logistics coordination.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or training in audio visual technology or related field.
- Strong technical skills in setting up and operating audio visual equipment.
- Knowledge of audio visual systems, including sound systems, projectors, video monitors, and lighting equipment.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to audio visual equipment.
