Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations. You will assist with a variety of accounting duties, prepare financial documents and reports, and ensure compliance with company and legal standards. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports on a regular basis.
  • Conduct daily bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries and ledger management.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow to ensure accuracy and liquidity.
  • Support the preparation and processing of invoices and payroll tasks timely.
  • Help in maintaining meticulous records of financial data and transaction history.
  • Review and verify accuracy of received invoices and other relevant documents.
  • Participate in internal audits and help prepare necessary audit materials.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitor expenses to align with forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve accounting discrepancies swiftly.
  • Provide support for month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensure company compliance.
  • Offer administrative support where necessary, including filing documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience or internship in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel for data management.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities are crucial.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
