Assets Engineer (O&M)

Al Dhafrah Region - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assets Engineer (O&M) to join our team! In this role you will support asset management and operations & maintenance activities by maintaining accurate asset records, conducting condition assessments, coordinating with O&M stakeholders, and supporting maintenance planning and reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintain and update asset registers in Osool, including asset tagging, coding, and classification.
• Conduct field inspections to validate asset condition and prepare condition and lifecycle assessment reports.
• Coordinate with O&M teams to ensure asset data is current and compliant with applicable asset management standards.
• Support preventive/corrective maintenance planning and annual asset health/replacement forecasting.
• Ensure new/updated assets are captured and integrated into the asset system; maintain audit-ready records and documentation.
• Monitor progress of O&M-related works/projects, follow up closures, and report issues impacting quality or timelines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and authorities as required; attend meetings and prepare progress reports and technical documentation.
• Support assessments and evaluations for existing structures and road assets; comply with HSE requirements.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering of Civil or Equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 12 years O&M experience, including maintenance / construction of structures (bridges/underpasses) and roads in the UAE.
• Demonstrable supervision / engineering support experience on major bridges, roads, and general infrastructure projects in the UAE / Gulf.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance specifications and statistical quality control principles.
• Strong computer literacy for asset systems, records, and reporting; ability to use project-specific engineering software.
• Familiarity with UAE Municipality departments’ operations and processes, preferably in Abu Dhabi.
• Abu Dhabi practicing engineers registration preferred.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer registration (or similar) will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of engineering and construction processes and industry practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with CAD and common engineering software; proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity.
