Job Description

As an Application Support Analyst, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and improving the applications that drive the business processes. You will be responsible for monitoring application performance, diagnosing and resolving issues, and ensuring seamless end-user experiences. Your role is crucial in supporting the IT infrastructure by providing technical assistance and expertise, collaborating with other IT professionals, and enhancing user productivity by implementing process improvements. You will engage with a variety of tools and technologies and will be pivotal in developing and maintaining documentation, tracking issues, and enhancing the quality of applications to meet business needs effectively. Your work will ensure applications are reliable, accessible, and continually improving to meet changing demands.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assist in the maintenance and optimization of IT applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve application-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure seamless operation of applications to support business functions effectively.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement software updates and patches.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users of applications.
  • Document application processes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
  • Analyze incident reports and logs to identify recurring issues or trends.
  • Develop and test application enhancements and updates before deployment.
  • Facilitate user training sessions to improve application use and productivity.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical teams for resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations on data management.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution for application recovery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in application support within a corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues.
  • Proficiency with application management software and diagnostic tools.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and experience in a service management framework.
