Job Description

As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the lifeblood of any organization – cash flow. This position involves ensuring that the company receives payments for goods and services, and the accounts receivable records are accurately maintained. You will focus on customer accounts, making sure invoices are sent and payments are collected in a timely manner, while also maintaining excellent relationships with clients. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable department.
  • Perform financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording data.
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and develop collection strategies.
  • Create and send invoices to customers while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries related to accounts receivable.
  • Negotiate payment discrepancies with clients to ensure outstanding credit is resolved.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations regarding collections.
  • Analyze historical collection data to forecast future revenue and cash flows.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing and collections processes.
  • Maintain and update client files and billing records with precision and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented attitude in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
