Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, analyzing accounting data, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, process-driven, and committed to maintaining financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures, providing insights to management
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll, to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and assist auditors with requested information
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or audit
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS)
  • Experience with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks

Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate accounting or a public accounting firm
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
