Overview
A Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security frameworks across on-premises and cloud (Azure) environments. This role ensures security best practices are embedded throughout the organization’s architecture, from identity and access management (IAM) to platform security, application security, and data protection. The architect will drive the adoption of zero trust principles, secure DevOps/DevSecOps practices, and advanced threat management, while also leading automation, scripting, and hands-on implementation of security controls

- Develop and enforce security architecture strategies for both on-premises and Azure environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Design and implement IAM solutions including privileged access management (PIM), identity management, and role-based access controls.
- Lead platform and infrastructure security initiatives, including network security, firewall configurations, Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS protection, and API Gateway security.
- Architect and apply zero trust frameworks across all layers of the technology stack.
- Oversee application security by integrating security into the SDLC, conducting threat modeling, and performing code reviews.
- Implement and manage DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines to automate security testing, compliance checks, and secure deployments.
- Design and maintain data protection strategies including encryption, data masking, and secure data lifecycle management.
- Monitor and respond to security threats using advanced threat management tools such as Microsoft Sentinel.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Landing Zones, Azure Policy management, and the implementation of mitigation controls.
- Create and review High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) for security solutions.
- Automate security processes using scripting and automation tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is embedded in all aspects of IT and business processes.
- Support RFI/RFP activities by providing comprehensive answers and documentation.
- Demonstrated experience with industry standards and best practices, including ISO 27001, CIS, NIST, ISO 42001, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Provide guidance and leadership on security best practices, risk management, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- 12+ years of experience in security architecture, covering on-premises and Azure environments.
- Expertise in identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PIM), and identity management.
- Strong knowledge of platform security, including network security, firewall, WAF, DDoS protection, and API Gateway management.
- Hands on experience with security tools and Azure Native Services includes security, network, storage, compute and databases.
- Experience with zero trust architecture implementation and enforcement.
- Proven track record in application security and secure SDLC practices.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, including setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls.
- Deep understanding of data protection strategies and technologies.
- Advanced threat management skills, with experience using Microsoft Sentinel and similar tools.
- Ability to design and document security solutions at both HLD and LLD levels.
- Expert in automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Terraform).
- Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Certifications in relevant security frameworks (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, ISO 42001 Lead Implementer) are highly desirable.
