Are you ready to make a real impact in our organisation? Were on the lookout for a savvy and dynamic Employment Relations Advisor who is adept at supporting managers in working through difficult employment relationship concerns.
In this role you will provide employment relations advice to our people leaders. You will be allocated and manage your own cases and support Senior ER Advisors in their mahi. This role provides an opportunity to stretch and develop your employment relations skillset while being fully supported by an excellent team of skilled Senior ER Advisors. You will engage with leaders to support them in the management of ER cases, including complex ER cases and grievances, and will ensure compliance with HR policies and legal requirements to help leaders navigate HR risks. You will be in a supportive learning environment, growing your knowledge and confidence in employment relations. Part of this role will involve contributing to the evolution of our employment practices, policies, and procedures and to develop resources and tools to standardise ER practices across the business.

- Ability to assess and identify problems efficiently and working with others to develop solutions
- Ability to confidently engage with stakeholders including, leaders, employee representatives and any kaimahi involved

- Detailed knowledge of current NZ employment law and HR practices
- Excellent stakeholder focus
- A good eye for detail
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; working knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples culture
Nōu te rourou | Whats in it for you
Oranga Tamariki offer a step-based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. The salary range for this role is $77,886 - $96,327. Appointment within the range will be dependant on experience.
