The Opportunity

Joining Aveo as a Financial Accountant – Resident Services, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and control of our Resident Services (Care & Operations) financials. You’ll be responsible for reconciliations, reporting, month-end close, balance sheet management and compliance, working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders to support well-informed decision-making across our communities.

Your Impact

  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
  • Maintain the integrity of key Resident Services balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure revenue, costs and cash receipts are correctly recorded in line with accounting standards
  • Reconcile data between POS, care systems, sub-ledgers and the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare high-quality financial reports that support insight, analysis and decision-making
  • Support year-end close and audit processes, including audit schedules and query responses
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardised accounting practices across communities

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in a financial accounting role, with a degree in Accounting or Finance and CA or CPA desirable (or working towards)
  • Experience working in multi-site, services, property, hospitality or high-volume transaction environment (desirable)
  • Confidence working across multiple systems, with ERP experience essential (e.g. TechOne)
  • Strong Excel skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to analyse data, resolve discrepancies and explain outcomes clearly
  • Effective communication skills, with the confidence to work with non-finance stakeholders
