The Opportunity
Joining Aveo as a Financial Accountant – Resident Services, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and control of our Resident Services (Care & Operations) financials. You’ll be responsible for reconciliations, reporting, month-end close, balance sheet management and compliance, working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders to support well-informed decision-making across our communities.
Your Impact
Deliver accurate and timely month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
Maintain the integrity of key Resident Services balance sheet accounts
Ensure revenue, costs and cash receipts are correctly recorded in line with accounting standards
Reconcile data between POS, care systems, sub-ledgers and the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Prepare high-quality financial reports that support insight, analysis and decision-making
Support year-end close and audit processes, including audit schedules and query responses
Contribute to process improvements and standardised accounting practices across communities
What You’ll Bring
3+ years’ experience in a financial accounting role, with a degree in Accounting or Finance and CA or CPA desirable (or working towards)
Experience working in multi-site, services, property, hospitality or high-volume transaction environment (desirable)
Confidence working across multiple systems, with ERP experience essential (e.g. TechOne)
Strong Excel skills and a high level of attention to detail
The ability to analyse data, resolve discrepancies and explain outcomes clearly
Effective communication skills, with the confidence to work with non-finance stakeholders
