This position is for an established Supply Chain Professional focusing on sourcing activities for Commercial Seating products. This includes Supporting Program/Sourcing Management on sourcing events, managing work transfers, and assisting with Business Development and Engineering on Supply Chain related tasks. In this role you will be responsible for creating and implementing plans to ensure work transfer projects and the new product sourcing strategy is aligned with desired program outcomes and company cost savings goals.
Responsible for purchasing and/or sourcing of direct materials within an agreed and defined supply strategy in support of program budget, quality, and delivery targets.
Proactively controls cost adherence to the approved business case and provides updates as necessary for PMT reviews or change impact, including Non-Recurring & Recurring costs as associated with the Supply Chain work package and/or work transfer plan.
Execute work transfers process with internal/external stakeholders in accordance with standard work.
Track and maintain work transfers to schedule and provide regular report outs to leadership on status of completion in comparison to timeline.
Update and maintain system quote records to comply with tactical PO execution requirements along with expedited correction from turnbacks issued by tactical procurement due to lack of procurement enablement
Create and manage tooling/NRE requests in support of sourcing efforts and maintenance of tooling log
Proactively manages Supply Chain risk on assigned work by implementing mitigation strategies and reports on the status thereof within the Risk Matrix to the PMT (Program Management Team).
Creates and ensures adherence to the supply chain execution plan, showing key Supply Chain activities as they fall in relation to the key program milestones and development of test articles to sustain build status.
Actively seeks to influence design choices to result in reducing recurring and / or non-recurring costs including support to drawing changes impacting inventory and operations.
Coordinates the necessary activities within the Supply Chain team and wider business by means of direct collaboration, to ensure successful fulfilment of the manufacturing plan from sourcing events and work transfers.
Creates, maintains, and communicates the material/supply chain status reports which would include: quote package management/reporting/approvals; headwind/savings analysis; cost team support to maintain monthly reports
Manages Program conflicts to ensure each Program gets the necessary support.
Develop and implement business processes to improve supply chain systems and processes’ execution.
Qualification
Educated to degree standard or equivalent.
Adequate level of experience and/or training in Supply Chain Management, Program Management, or related field
Ability to create consensus to ensure results from peers in cross-functional positions.
Commitment to continuous improvement and life-long learning.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent time management and active communication skills.
Ability to manage conflict across multiple roles and teams.
Knowledge of inventory management processes and philosophies, including MRP and BOM.
Understanding of financial reports and expense control
Proven ability to analyze data and successfully develop and execute project plans.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with leadership (minimum – up to 2 levels up)
Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
