What Youll Do

• Support indirect tax reporting in various countries.
• Address reporting issues and ensure that compliance is done in a timely manner.
• Help to identify countries in which new registrations are required, issues with missing data relating to customers, and ensuring that registrations are completed in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly Avalara reconciliations for US sales tax filings.
• Prepare periodic VAT/GST/HST reconciliations for review and filing.
• Assisting with analyzing VAT/GST threshold exposure reviews.
• Review of compliance with sales tax resale certificate collection as well as data integrity for VAT/GST numbers, as our internal customer master data has inconsistently collected this information in the past.
  
  
  

What Youll Bring

• 4+ years total public/private experience and/or post-secondary degree in tax, accounting, or finance.
• Strong communication skills; an excellent knowledge of English (both written and oral).
• Excellent computer proficiency and high level of competency in Excel.
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to identify deadlines and prioritise workloads in collaboration with the indirect tax specialist in Dundee.
• Knowledge of VAT and GST tax concepts and compliance obligations is an advantage.
• Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative.
• Experience in working to strict deadlines.
• Team player with strong analytical, finance, and accounting skills.
