IT Senior Data Engineer

What you will do

• Develop and prepare SQL and PL/SQL scripts
• Create database/data mart designs suitable for robust repositories
• Develop and optimize SQL objects and scripts
• Development and maintenance of ETL jobs / transformations including access via APIs
• Development and maintenance of big data projects
• Maintenance and monitoring of the existing developed application. (ex. ETL Servers)
• Develop business intelligence reports and dashboards for company-wide reporting
• Maintain and monitor BI applications (OBIEE, Power, and Tableau)
• Provide support to Software Development Life cycle.
• Provide technical analysis in cooperation with business analysts.
• Prepare various code designs and ensure efficient implementation of same.
  
  

What you need to have

• At least 7 years of working experience in Business Intelligence and/ or Big Data technologies
• At least 7 years solid working experience with ETL Tool (Oracle Golden Gate or Pentaho is a plus), Oracle SQL,Impala/Hive/Spark Sql via HUE or Jupyter, Python or Scala
• Experienced in Databricks and Snowflake
• Knowledgeable with UNIX based systems
• At least 3 years experience with Hadoop or any Big data System
• Highly experienced with data warehouse and ETL concepts
• Highly experienced with SQL tuning and performance optimization
• Highly experienced with SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL
• Experienced with any of the following BI platforms: OBIEE 11g/12c, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau
• Experienced with Big Data Development (spec. Python Scripting)
• Experienced with data analysis, data modeling, and database design
• Experienced with software development lifecycle
• Knowledgeable with documentation
• Knowledgeable with ticketing systems
• Knowledgeable with Git
• Knowledgeable with UNIX-based systems
