As an Analyst in the Manila Research Team you will assist the global Manager Research team in conducting research into investment managers and their investment strategies on behalf of Willis Towers Watson’s clients. The initial focus of the role will be supporting the creating and running of analytical reports, together with data collation, management and analysis. Over time, we expect an Analyst’s role to broaden including advanced data analysis and interpretation that will directly affect the manager research process and impact client portfolios.
The Main Duties And Responsibilities Are
Production/review of generic research output, including internal quantitative and qualitative reports
Production of investment reviews of investment strategies / products
Using internal tools to produce research analytics
Data collation and management, using both in-house and externally-provided database systems
Production and review of performance analysis/monitoring
Creation of and improvements to research tools
Assist Manager Researchers with both regular and ad-hoc data analysis
Provide back-up to other members of Manila Research Team
Support projects within the research team
Develop skills as a research specialist, offering technical expertise and support
Ensure that production of draft reports complies with quality standards (Professional Excellence and audit controls)

Qualifications
The Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance or equivalent; with at least one to two years’ of relevant work experience
Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to carry out qualitative and quantitative data collection and summarise the key findings
Proven effective oral and written communication skills in business English
Knowledge of the R programming language is a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, and an interest in enhancing these skills
Good organisation and time management skill, with a proven ability to handle a variety of assignments and meet tight deadlines
Confidence to liaise with people at all levels in a variety of roles, locations and functions
Ability to work on own initiative when required, as well as in a team
Detail and results orientated, with a logical and analytical method of working
