Why does this role exist?
The company is looking for a Google Ads Specialist to build campaigns from the ground up, own the strategy end-to-end, and drive measurable performance improvements. You’ll receive high-level direction and business goals, then translate them into a strategic roadmap and daily optimizations that improve ROAS, reduce CPA, and increase qualified leads/sales. This role exists to bring independent ownership, pace, and rigor to paid search and shopping efforts while maximizing return within defined budgets.

The Impact you’ll make

  • Create a clear action plan and testing roadmap with milestones and expected outcomes.

  • Build, launch, and manage Search, Shopping/Performance Max, and relevant YouTube/Display placements.
  • Write and iterate ad copy/creatives; develop audience segments and exclusions; implement negative keyword strategy.
Structured Testing and Experimentation
  • Define and run a structured testing process (hypothesis, prioritization, design, success metrics, iteration).
  • Prioritize tests for highest impact (e.g., audiences, assets, bidding, landing pages) using data and business context.
  • Document learnings and roll out winners across accounts/campaigns.
Measurement, Reporting, and Insights
  • Implement and validate conversion tracking via GA4 and GTM; ensure accurate attribution.
  • Monitor performance, diagnose trends, and uncover opportunities for growth or efficiency.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven reports with actionable recommendations and next steps.
Budget and Stakeholder Management
  • Manage budgets to maximize ROI while staying strictly within spend limits.
  • Forecast spend and performance scenarios; recommend reallocation by campaign/product line.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders; operate independently with minimal supervision.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:
  • Hands-on Google Ads management building campaigns from scratch (Search, Shopping/Performance Max), with a proven track record improving ROAS, lowering CPA, or increasing qualified lead quality.

  • Proficiency in GA4 and Google Tag Manager, including conversion/event setup, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong keyword research, audience strategy, competitive analysis, and ad copy/creative testing experience.
  • Budget management expertise with clear examples of maximizing ROI within defined spend limits.
  • WFH Set-Up:
    • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
    • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
    • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
    • Back-up computer and internet connection
    • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
Your Superpowers:
  • Technical: Google Ads Manager, GA4, GTM, Google Keyword Planner; familiarity with SEMrush or Ahrefs; campaign structuring, RSA best practices, Shopping/PMax setup, negative keywording, audience segmentation, conversion tracking, and A/B testing.

  • Communication: Crisp reporting, clear recommendations, and proactive stakeholder updates.
  • Personal: Ownership mindset, bias for action, detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable making informed decisions autonomously.
You should apply if...
