Job Description

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, delivering industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing. This position focuses on small accounts within the government criminal justice and treatment market, driving existing business retention and incremental growth while managing transactional sales and product-focused engagements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities – (key Activities)

  • Identify new small account opportunities through inbound inquiries, targeted outreach, and digital engagement.
  • Execute transactional sales activities, including preparing quotes, winning sales opportunities, opening new accounts, processing orders, and coordinating delivery.
  • Promote core product portfolio and educate customers on product features, benefits, and usage.
  • Monitor account performance and proactively address gaps in product adoption or usage, introduce new products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Customer Service, Operations) to ensure smooth order processing and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM (Salesforce) for all interactions, opportunities, orders, and follow-ups.
  • Stay informed on product updates and communicate changes to customers promptly.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years in sales, customer service or account management, preferably in a transactional or product-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic or drug testing products preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of small accounts efficiently.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Salesforce.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in sales, customer service or account management, preferably in a transactional or product-focused environment.

  • Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required
  • Proven track record in Sales preferred
  • Strong communication, verbal, and written skills a must
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in quotes and order processing
