Lead Matchmove Artist

The Lead Matchmove Artist is responsible for completing senior-level matchmove tasks as well as supporting and reviewing the work of their facility team. They will work closely with the Matchmove project leads and supervisor to ensure they and their facility team provide 3d solutions that precisely recreate the movement & technical aspects of the subject matter. Successful applicants should have the ability to communicate well with neighboring departments, lead a team and be capable of delivering work to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supports and mentors matchmove artists
• Derives accurate camera and object 3D solutions adhering to all provided camera and subject specifications (focal length, film back, lens distortion, rolling shutter, etc.)
• Flags when there are issues and lack of clarity of your tasks informing relevant supervisors and production managers
• Ensures continuity between scenes/shots when working with other Mathmove and Layout artists with the same project, sequence, assets, etc
  
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years in a similar role within the VFX industry for feature film
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience as a show lead
• Firm grasp of 3D tracking principles and toolsets
• Must thrive in a team environment and enjoy working with other artists
• Demonstrate a good eye for detail and precision with strong problem-solving skills
• Able to deliver results to a high standard with the aid and direction of the Matchmove & Layout Leads / Supervisors
• Ability to be adaptable and accepting of changes in a production schedule
• Aware of project schedules and capable of delivering work to deadlines
• Aware of overall team deadlines and schedule; communicating with the department production manager and/or coordinator any and all shifts in scheduled dates
• Good communication skills both technically, creatively, verbal, and written

담당업무

• 매치무브 아티스트들을 지원하고 멘토링합니다
• 제공된 모든 카메라 및 피사체 사양(초점 거리, 필름 백, 렌즈 왜곡, 롤링 셔터 등)을 준수하여 정확한 카메라 및 오브젝트 3D 솔루션을 도출합니다
• 담당 업무에 문제점이나 불명확한 부분이 있을 경우, 관련 슈퍼바이저 및 프로덕션 매니저에게 이를 보고합니다
• 동일한 프로젝트, 시퀀스, 에셋 등에서 다른 매치무브 및 레이아웃 아티스트들과 함께 작업할 때, 씬/샷 간의 연속성을 유지하도록 합니다
  
  
  
  

자격요건

• VFX 업계에서 장편 영화 관련 유사 직무 최소 5년 이상 경력
• 쇼 리드(Show Lead)로서 1:2년 이상의 경력
• 3D 트래킹의 원리와 관련 툴셋에 대한 탄탄한 이해
• 팀 환경에서의 협업을 즐기며 다른 아티스트들과 함께 일하는 데 익숙한 사람
• 세밀한 부분과 정밀도를 잘 파악하고, 뛰어난 문제 해결 능력을 보유한 사람
• 매치무브 & 레이아웃 리드/슈퍼바이저의 가이드와 방향 제시에 따라 높은 수준의 결과물을 전달할 수 있는 사람
• 제작 스케줄 변화에 유연하게 대응하고 이를 수용할 수 있는 능력
• 프로젝트 일정에 대한 이해도가 높고, 마감 기한을 준수하며 작업을 전달할 수 있는 사람
• 팀 전체 마감 및 스케줄을 인지하고, 일정 변경 사항이 있을 경우 부서 프로덕션 매니저 및/또는 코디네이터와 적극적으로 소통할 수 있는 사람
• 기술적·창의적 측면 모두에서, 구두 및 문서 커뮤니케이션 능력이 우수한 사람
