Requirements

Responsibilities:

Laboratory Support

• Design and execute experiments using techniques such as ELISA assays, Western blotting, and mammalian cell culture
• Perform molecular biology techniques such as plasmid preparation (miniprep/maxiprep), DNA cloning, and basic nucleic acid handling
• Support sample preparation, reagent setup, buffer preparation and experimental execution following established protocols
• Analyze, interpret, and clearly document experimental data to support conclusions and decision-making
• Maintain accurate lab records and assist in preparing summaries of experimental results
  
  

Lab Maintenance & Operations

• Support general lab maintenance, including inventory tracking, reagent preparation, and equipment organization
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with laboratory safety procedures
• Assist in ordering, labeling, and stocking consumables
• Contribute to overall lab efficiency by proactively identifying needs and supporting day-to-day operations
  
  

Product Development & Marketing Support

• Conduct literature reviews and competitive analysis for emerging technologies and products
• Assist in compiling data for product validation, benchmarking, and marketing materials
• Support preparation of technical documents, presentations, and internal reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, Marketing) as needed
• Demonstrate a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and project support
  
  

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of molecular biology and cell biology techniques (e.g., ELISA, Western blot, cell culture)
• Hands-on familiarity with common lab techniques such as cloning, plasmid DNA preparation, and buffer/reagent preparation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow protocols and work both independently and in a team environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new techniques and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior laboratory research experience (academic or internship)
• Familiarity with data analysis and scientific literature review
• Interest in biotech product development and commercialization
• Evidence of initiative, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset in previous academic or lab experiences
  
  

Physical Demands

• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands for pipetting, handling small instruments, and operating lab equipment
• Ability to lift and carry light to moderate loads (up to ~25 lbs), such as reagent boxes or lab supplies
  
  

Full-time hours are preferred, but part-time hours are available. The start date is flexible, with a preferred start in June based on candidate availability. The duration of the internship is intended to be approximately 3 months.
