The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of TxDOT's compliance and ethical standards and be proficient in negotiating. Additionally, they must be flexible and adaptable when dealing with projects and clients.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Define project milestones, deliverables, and critical path, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and able to prepare and maintain project schedules
• Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, expenditures, and financial reporting.
• Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor and control project costs to prevent budget overruns.
• Lead and coordinate multiple project teams, including engineers, designers, and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
• Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications before submission.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure designs are free from errors or inconsistencies.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of project documentation and deliverables.
• Implement quality control procedures to verify that work meets the required specifications and standards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 5 – 7 years of experience in a project management role
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
