About The Job
The primary responsibility is the timely and accurate preparation and completion of financial information e.g. financial position, financial performance, cash flows, etc. of the Company in accordance and compliant with the reportorial requirements of local management, group management and regulators. Provide technical accounting guidance and advice to various teams within the organization for transactions that have financial impact ensuring compliance with the provisions and requirements of the applicable accounting standards.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate, work closely with finance teams and execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts.
- Provide support in identifying and, if needed, preparation of period-end adjusting entries and any consolidation/elimination entries.
- Provide support in handling calculations and adjustments for special and/or complex accounting such as Hedging and Leases in accordance with the relevant accounting standards
- Support, contribute and assist in projects (initiated by the team or others) for any development, design and implementation of new processes, controls and functionality changes to existing systems in relation to Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting tasks and templates including but not limited to, local and Group reporting, analysis and review of balance sheet and income statements including reconciliations from other teams, financial statements preparation and other related areas to enhance financial reporting accuracy, efficiency, operational processes and overall effectiveness of the team
- Coordinate, work closely with finance teams to ensure information received from other teams complies with the requirements for preparation of financial reports to local regulators, Group, etc. based on requirements such as PFRS/IFRS, Group GAAP, Group Policies, etc.
- Assist and support in accounting research, documentations and implementations related to provision of advice to stakeholders on the implications of new business/products, industry related matters, new and amendments to accounting standards or accounting policies, new and amendments to regulations affecting finance, etc. including ad-hoc consultations.
- Provide support in maintenance and monitoring of accounting entries POS (Point of Sales), CASH, VAS, (Value-Added Services, ONLINE.

What You Need To Have
- At least 1 year working experience in finance and accounting department in a financial services industry
- Knowledge of and experience in analysis and application of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other departments and employees at least up to manager level;
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction or supervision from supervisor and/or manager
- Strong verbal/written communication skills; Creative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self motivated, organized and detail driven, Ability to meet assigned deadlines and able to work under pressure
- Knowledge of accounting applications such as SAP
- Certified Public Accountant ( nice to have)
