Job Summary: The Payroll Officer payroll service delivery by ensuring timely resolution of employee inquiries and incidents, while coordinating with vendors and partners on payroll, attendance, and system issues. It administers end‑to‑end payroll processing, including executive payroll, allowances, salary adjustments, statutory reporting, and onboarding support, while ensuring adherence to SLAs. The position prepares payroll, accounting, and government reports, maintains accurate payroll records, and drives process improvements and automation initiatives. It also ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal controls while identifying and mitigating payroll‑related risks.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Inquiry Management and Resolution/ Incident Management
Provide feedback to employees’ inquiries and resolve them within defined turnaround times.
Recommend programs to improve inquiry management and resolutions related to payroll.
Report and coordinate with vendors and partners to resolve issues on payroll system, attendance and leaves management and ATM issues within turnaround time.
Service Delivery and Performance
Administer payroll processing for employees including but not limited to project hires, consultants and other payroll run requests (e.g. AP Hold, Driver’s allowance, etc.)
Update payroll records and review changes in premium contributions, exemptions, insurance coverage and deductions (e.g. loan, lease, etc.).
Compute and implement salary adjustments instructions (i.e. profit sharing, salary increase, etc.) from Compensation team.
Coordinate with the outsourced provider on executive payroll and documents; ensure smooth onboarding of new executives on payroll concerns.
Process the Board of Directors’ allowance and per diem.
Monitor and ensure that all service delivery is within established SLAs.
Update team dashboard on daily/ weekly/ monthly deliverables during the regular Team Meetings/ Operational Reviews.
Suggest/Recommends payroll, or HR Services process innovation and programs.
Participate in special projects and initiatives assigned.
Monitoring and Reportorial Requirements
Prepare and review the following but not limited to:
payroll reports (i.e. earnings, deductions and allowances, payroll
adjustments/reversals) including accounting entries (i.e. regular, offcycle, final pay, accrual and amortization schedules, etc.).
government and statutory related reports (i.e. Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), etc.)
Audit, Risk and Compliance
Monitor and ensure compliance to government, legal and regulatory agencies.
Prepare documents and requirements related to BSP and Internal audit during audit activities.
Identify, mitigate and monitor risk related to administration.
Apply consistent policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or a related field.
With 2–4 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, accounting, or compensation and benefits administration.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrates accountability, adaptability, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic work environment.
Possesses good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
