The Acquisition Risk Officer partners with Risk Management, Business, and Credit teams to set risk appetite, ensure policy implementation, and manage portfolio performance for sustainability. Provides data analytics at portfolio and segment levels for monitoring and policy adjustments, creates Python programs for MIS reporting, and supports risk reporting and quality reviews. Collaborates on new product launches and partnership programs while assessing risks in business decisions to maintain compliance and safeguard the firm’s reputation.
What You’ll Do
Work as a team within Risk Management to provide supporting data & analysis in setting risk appetite for the product
Partner with Business, D&A and Credit counterparts in managing the portfolio to achieve plan numbers and product sustainability.
Work with Credit and Business counterparts to ensure correct policy implementation on an operational level.
Provide supporting data & analytics at on portfolio level and segment level for the purpose of monitoring & policy adjustment to policy with the ultimate goal of managing risk and maximizing rewards
Creates new Python programs and generates MIS reports to monitor performance of new unsecured products and partnership programs
Partner with Risk Reporting teams, provide supporting data for Credit Risk Reporting and Portfolio Quality Review Reporting, as well as ad-hoc reporting as needed
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
2–5 years’ experience in credit risk, portfolio management, or risk analytics (banking/financial services preferred)
Strong data analytics skills with experience in portfolio monitoring and risk performance management
Proficient in Python for data analysis, automation, and MIS reporting; experience with SQL/Excel/BI tools is an advantage
Solid understanding of credit policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance, with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
