Villa Sous Chef – Amanpulo

Role

As Villa Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in assisting the Executive Sous Chef / Executive Chef in all aspects of villa kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, efficiency, and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Sous Chef / Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating in the Villas.
• Supervise and manage villa kitchen team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure efficient workflow and smooth service during peak hours.
• Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock management of villa owners and paying guests.
• Enforce strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Contribute to menu development, recipe creation, and specials in the villa.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.
• Assist with cost control measures and minimizing food waste.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all kitchen equipment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a highly skilled Chef de Partie ready for the next step.
• Strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of Asian and Western cuisines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Creativity and a passion for culinary excellence.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
