Assistant Reservations Manager - Amanpulo
Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Reservations Manager. The Assistant Reservations Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Reservations Manager in overseeing the overall operations of the department, ensuring the team delivers high-quality output while strategically prioritizing the optimization of hotel occupancy and revenue.
Responsibilities
Oversee the reservations department to ensure a structured, efficient, and well-organized operation.
Ensure strict compliance with established policies and procedures for handling and confirming reservations.
Manage the reservations team, ensuring prompt and professional responses to all room inquiries and booking requests.
Handling VIP bookings endorsed by higher management and corporate teams, ensuring exceptional service.
Ensure compliance with LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) and Aman SEVA standards in all reservation processes.
Attend the daily operations meeting to ensure that all relevant information about all upcoming bookings is relayed to each department concerned.
Conduct a thorough pre-arrival check for all reservations arriving the next day to confirm all details are correctly recorded in the system.
Review the travel agent commission report monthly to verify accuracy in all details.
Execute reasonable requests as directed by management to support business needs.
Identify training needs and provide structured development programs for all new and existing reservations team members.
Exhibit strong teamwork by willingly taking on assignments within or beyond the department, as instructed by the Immediate Head.
Stay updated on company policies and code of conduct by reviewing relevant guidelines and ensuring adherence to established standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in hotel reservations operations in the same capacity.
Prior experience with international or luxury hotel brands is an advantage.
Proficient in hotel reservation systems (e.g., OPERA, Fidelio, or similar).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Basic understanding of accounting or billing procedures related to reservations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and guest information.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English; additional languages are a plus.
Customer service-oriented with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
