Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP-PS Techno-Functional Consultant to support mission-critical integrations for a U.S. Government Department. This is a mid-level individual contributor role focused on bridging the gap between project management excellence (Primavera P6) and enterprise resource planning (SAP).

You will be responsible for the seamless flow of data between schedule and finance, ensuring compliance with federal reporting standards and optimizing the integration architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Architecture: Design, configure, and maintain the integration between SAP (PS/PPM/FICO) and Oracle Primavera P6 using middleware such as Primavera Gateway, SAP PI/PO, or Dell Boomi.

Functional Expertise: Map complex business processes involving project structures (WBS), cost elements, resource assignments, and Earned Value Management (EVM).

Technical Execution: Develop and troubleshoot custom interfaces, BAPIs, and IDocs within the SAP environment to support project data exchange.

Federal Compliance: Ensure all system configurations and data handling meet federal security standards (NIST, FISMA) and departmental reporting requirements.

Strategic Advisory: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for both systems, providing guidance on "best fit" solutions for project scheduling versus financial accounting.

Data Integrity: Perform regular audits of integrated data to ensure the "single source of truth" is maintained across the enterprise landscape.

Required Qualifications

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required (Dual citizenship may disqualify based on agency requirements).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: * Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in SAP (Project Systems - PS).

Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 EPPM and Primavera Gateway.

Proven track record of at least two full-cycle SAP-Primavera integration projects.

Technical Skills: * Proficiency in SAP ABAP (debugging/interfaces), BAPIs, and RFCs.

Strong understanding of SQL and database structures.

Familiarity with Government-specific accounting (Budgetary vs. Proprietary).

Preferred Skills & Certifications

Certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate (PLM/PS) or Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management certification.

EVM Knowledge: Deep understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) criteria (EIA-748).

Soft Skills: Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high visibility with federal stakeholders through clear documentation and communication.
