About The Client (UK)

About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team, working remotely under the direct management of our UK-based leadership. The primary responsibility is to provide accurate construction cost estimates and support project tendering. The ideal candidate will have strong construction knowledge, proficiency in interpreting drawings, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to clearly demonstrate their estimation methodology and calculations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from construction drawings (e.g., determine square footage, count materials).
• Clearly show workings and methodologies used in calculations to ensure transparency and traceability of all estimates.
• Create and manage pricing documents, schedules of works, and subcontractor packages.
• Review and interpret project specifications and prepare documentation for tenders and subcontracts.
• Issue requests for quotation to subcontractors, collate pricing responses, and compile results into final documentation.
• Liaise directly with UK-based leadership and team members to clarify scope and requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date records of estimates, project tenders, and supporting documentation.
• Promote high standards of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in all estimating activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the wider team.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in construction or a related field.
• Proficient in quantity take-offs from architectural and construction drawings.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to clearly document and explain calculation methods and assumptions.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Demonstrated ability to create clear pricing schedules and subcontractor packages.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, reporting directly to management.
  
  

Desirable/Nice to have skills

• Experience with UK construction projects, standards, or regulations (preferred but not essential).
• Familiarity with remote working tools and practices.
• Experience working on project-based consulting or with international teams.
  
  

Work Schedule (Midshift)

• Monday to Friday (11AM-8PM; Manila Time)
  
  

Work Setup (WFH)

• Permanent Homebased
• Equipment will be provided by the company
• Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
