Qashier is looking for a Senior Accountant to support our growth!

Job Summary

Manages daily accounting operations, including reconciliations, merchant payouts, hardware sales, and cost of goods sold. The role supports month-end close, ensures compliance with controls and regulations, and provides financial insights through accurate reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day accounting operations, including high-volume payables, receivables, and reconciliation of multiple bank and payment gateway accounts.
• Prepare journal entries related to digital transactions, merchant payouts, and fee recognition, with proper supporting documentation and accuracy.
• Track inventory movements of hardware devices, reconcile with sales invoices, and record cost of goods sold accurately.
• Perform aging analysis on accounts receivables and payables monthly
• Prepare schedules for revenue recognition, deferred income, COGS, and accruals.
• Review payment requests and settlement files, ensuring compliance with approval policies and internal controls.
• Track payout delays, settlement discrepancies, or chargeback issues, and coordinate with Operations/Tech teams to resolve promptly.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulators to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and reporting obligations.
• Maintain and update process documentation covering transaction flows, controls, and reconciliation procedures.
• Assist on projects to improve efficiency and automation in accounting.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring, and variance analysis across business units.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as required by the Finance Manager or management team
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a strong academic record; CPA preferred.
• At least 4 years of audit or accounting experience, with exposure to fintech, payments, or SaaS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and taxation.
• Experience with inter-company transactions and consolidations.
• Experience in accounting systems and advanced spreadsheet skills. Experience with process automations is a plus.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Agile, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
