About the Role

The Associate Product Owner supports the management of one or more product backlogs and helps guide teams toward delivering business value. Working closely with a Senior Product Owner, the role focuses on translating product vision into clear requirements, prioritizing backlog items, and ensuring accurate communication between Product Management, stakeholders, and development teams. The position requires strong analytical, collaboration, and communication skills, involvement in agile ceremonies, and the ability to break down features into actionable user stories while supporting efficient software delivery and team performance.


What Youll Do

  • Identify needs and help define requirements with Product Management
  • Ensure requirements and user stories meet a level of detail that allows the Teams to produce quality work, that achieves the product goal
  • Consider the customer and customer experience in all requirements and user stories
  • Define and prioritize features and document accurately, supported by a Senior Product Owner when required
  • Backlogs
  • Support the ownership of the team backlog and represent the stakeholders whose
  • requirements it contains
  • Ensure Teams have backlogs of ‘ready’ work
  • Ensure backlogs represent the product strategic priorities but also consider the release of commercial value as early as possible
  • Contribute to backlog review and product processes with the Product Ownership group
  • Regular review of your backlog(s) with a Senior Product Owner
  • Ensure the backlog is always up to date, available and understood
  • Agile Processes
  • Work with the team to refine, estimate and plan the work in the backlog
  • Be the voice of the customer at every stage
