What Youll Do

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be entrusted with overseeing the evolution of complex cloud-based systems that underpin mission-critical services. • Design, manage, update, and secure both new and existing cloud infrastructure environments primarily within AWS to ensure optimal availability, performance, and scalability for all business-critical applications.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments using Terraform and Kubernetes to automate provisioning processes and configuration management across multiple environments.
• Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines by leveraging GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Atlantis to enable rapid yet reliable software delivery cycles for development teams.
• Act as a key support resource for developers by assisting with deployments, troubleshooting application or infrastructure issues, and optimising workflows for efficiency and dependability.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to architect robust infrastructure designs for both new initiatives and legacy applications while adhering to best practices in security and operational efficiency.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions using Datadog and Lacework to proactively identify system health issues before they impact users or stakeholders.

• Deep familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, Terragrunt, or CloudFormation for automating complex provisioning tasks across diverse environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure within AWS (including EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, IAM) with a focus on scalability and resilience.
• Proficiency in building robust CI/CD pipelines utilising tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD or Jenkins to streamline software delivery processes.
• Solid background working with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon ECS for deploying distributed applications at scale.
• Demonstrated ability integrating monitoring/logging solutions such as Datadog, AWS CloudWatch or Prometheus into production environments for real-time observability.
• Advanced scripting skills using Bash or Python for automating routine tasks or developing custom tooling solutions that improve operational efficiency.
