Acciona is hiring a Safety Supervisor for an infrastructure project in Metro Manila. The role is responsible for overseeing daily site operations to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards, including conducting regular inspections, monitoring proper PPE use, and addressing hazards. The position also involves coordinating with project teams, leading safety briefings and trainings, and enforcing safe work practices to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.

Job Description

• Supervise day-to-day activities within a particular construction site
• Ensure that workers are wearing proper PPE’s while in construction site and workplace
• Investigate accidents and tackle their causes
• Take notes of workers’ safety concerns and relay it to the Safety Manager
• Arrange safety training programs
• Develop plans for emergency procedures
• Communicate and coordinate with the Management regarding safety concern in the workplace
• Check health and safety devices at whole area where he is assigned.
• Monitoring safety attitude of site engineer and subcontractor’s workers and building participation in the job safety effort.
• Conduct health and safety inspections and take corrective action on a daily basis.
• Conduct safety meeting prior to the start of the work, explain hazard and risk assessment for all parties with accordance to on-going work.
• Report to the Deputy Health Safety Manager / Coordinator if find new hazard out come during the work (in case not yet identified on risk assessment).
• Assist in accident investigation and shall be part of the investigation committee.
• Advice on workers on the safe work procedures and planning.
• The overall responsibility for the implementation of Safety in the Construction site.
• The Health and Safety Supervisor may, following his/her own determination and without fear of reprisal, implement a work stoppage or suspend operations in cases of imminent danger.
• If the authority (ex. DOLE) or his/her duly authorized representative conduct of annual spot audit or examines records and investigate facts, conditions or matters necessary to determine compliance with the provision of rules and other applicable laws, the safety supervisor and representative of the management and workers of the company must attend.
• In the absence of the company safety officer/supervisor, his/her duly authorized representative may attend in his/her stead.
• Perform Duties / Roles and Responsibilities as per OSH Standards and other applicable DOLE Orders.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor
• With valid HSE certification (BOSH, COSH, or OSH)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proactive, reliable, and diligent in performing duties
