Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer, ideally with data centre experience, to work as part of a team on technically-challenging projects.

This role will be responsible for contributing to projects to deliver excellent service levels to clients and assisting on the ongoing development and growth of the business, whilst providing sound technical, design, support.

We’re looking for an experienced engineering professional to provide sound technical and design support on Mechanical Building Services Engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements and clients’ specifications are fully met.

Responsibilities

• Running of small projects
• Researches, develops, designs, and assumes responsibility for coordination and monitoring of engineering project services for mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities, and so on
• Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes
• Surveys tests and reports on existing mechanical installations
• Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements
• Represents the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractor teams
• Prepares specification modifications using MS Word or Excel
• Ensures engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards
• Responsible for validation of intermediate or graduate engineers’ input into designs
  
  

• A relevant degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification or sufficient suitable experience
• Competent in specification design or drawing for several building types
• Sound knowledge of key health and safety issues and legislation
• Passionate mechanical engineer with minimum of three (3) years’ hands-on HVAC design experience for different types of projects such as high-rise buildings, hotels, commercial buildings, mixed-use buildings, and data centres
• Experience working in Dubai and UK projects is an advantage
• Proven working experience in engineering service design industry
• Knowledge of using design software such as E20, Hevacomp, Pipe Flo
• Knowledge of using equipment selection software such as Flaktwoods, Grundfos, Nuaire
• Proficient in the application of international standards: UK, ASHRAE, CIBSE
• Knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software
• Basic understanding of BS standards
• Ability to prioritise own workload
