Projects Shop Inspection Coordinator

Industry: Oil & Gas / EPC / Industrial Projects

Employment Type: Project-Based

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage shop inspection activities with manufacturers, vendors, clients, and inspection teams.
  • Schedule inspections and ensure timely execution of shop surveillance and quality verification activities.
  • Monitor vendor documentation, inspection requests, and manufacturing progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Bureau Veritas Worldwide Shop Inspection Guidelines and client requirements.
  • Coordinate inspection assignments, reports, punch items, and close-out activities.
  • Maintain inspection records and support project quality and reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth inspection workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and project procedures throughout inspection activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience in shop inspection coordination, quality inspection, or related industrial projects.
  • Proven experience coordinating vendor/shop inspections for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, EPC, or Industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Bureau Veritas Worldwide Shop Inspection Guidelines.
  • Familiarity with BV HSE requirements, SIEBEL, and Q&S systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in English.
  • Strong reporting, document control, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel for international project assignments.

Preferred Experience

  • Vendor inspection coordination and expediting activities.
  • Third-party inspection agencies and multinational project environments.
  • Quality assurance and quality control processes for manufacturing and fabrication facilities.
