Job Description

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and execution-driven Head of Credit Operations & Collections with 6–8 years of experience in the Philippines to build, lead, and scale FLIN's credit and collections function from the ground up. This is a senior, foundational role — you will not be inheriting a running system. You will design it.

The ideal candidate comes from a bank, fintech, or financing/multi-finance company in the Philippines with direct experience building or significantly restructuring a collections operation. If you are a builder who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and wants real ownership — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collections Infrastructure Setup & Strategy — Design and build FLIN Philippines's end-to-end collections infrastructure from scratch, including policies, SOPs, escalation frameworks, bucket-wise strategies, collection tools, and third-party agency relationships, in full compliance with BSP regulations and the Data Privacy Act.
  • Credit Operations Management — Oversee day-to-day credit operations including application intake, credit assessment, document verification, and disbursement coordination with banking and multifinance partners, while continuously improving turnaround times across the application-to-disbursement pipeline.
  • Team Leadership & Development — Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of collections agents with clear KPIs, call quality standards, and regular coaching; build a high-performance, accountable culture that is firm on commitment but empathetic to borrowers in genuine hardship.
  • Performance, Reporting & Stakeholder Management — Define and track key credit and collections KPIs (DPD buckets, collection rates, roll rates, recovery percentages); prepare performance reports for senior management and coordinate closely with Risk, Legal, Finance, Customer Success, and Product teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification in Credit/Risk Management is an advantage
  • 6–8 years of progressive experience in credit operations and/or collections within a bank, fintech, financing company, or multi-finance institution in the Philippines
  • Demonstrated track record of building or significantly restructuring a collections function including policy design, team setup, and technology implementation
  • Minimum 2–3 years in a managerial or team-lead role overseeing collections agents or credit operations staff
  • Strong exposure to consumer lending: salary loans, personal loans, paylater, or credit cards
  • Deep familiarity with BSP regulations, consumer protection norms, and ethical collections practices
  • Proficient in collection systems, CRM platforms, and MS Excel or Google Sheets for reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in both Filipino (Tagalog) and English

Why Join Us

  • Own and build a critical function in a high-growth fintech from day one — this is not a maintenance role
  • Direct reporting line to the Country Lead with real influence over business strategy and portfolio growth
  • Work on a genuinely impactful mission: helping over-leveraged Filipino employees regain financial stability
  • Exposure to a regional fintech platform operating across Asia-Pacific with USD 400Mn+ group AUM
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, with a clear growth trajectory into senior leadership
