The Agency Relationship Manager is responsible for driving growth and development within the agency by focusing on Agency performance management for both Advisors and Leaders. The role also involves close collaboration with the specialists, Advisor/Leader Development SMT in making sure that the FAs and ALs in their respective teams are achieving the minimum Agency performance standards.
The Agency Relationship Manager plays a critical role in aligning agency operations with the company’s strategic goals and fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement. He/She will also be expected to provide inputs and recommendations to the overall Zone strategy.
The incumbent is expected to lead, manage and develop the agency zone in line with the corporate objectives and vision.
Position Responsibilities
Agency Training and Capability Development
- Oversee the onboarding programs to ensure seamless integration of new Advisors and Leaders into the organization.
- Lead the development of both rookie and tenured Advisors and Agency Leaders within assigned locations to enhance their effectiveness in recruiting and managing Financial Advisors.
- Ensure agency training and competence requirements for existing Advisors and Leaders are fulfilled.
- Create developmental programs to help existing Agency Leaders reach the next rank/tier, maximizing compensation.
- Develop programs aimed at enhancing the skills and productivity of Advisors, particularly focusing on “moving the middle” to elevate overall agent performance.
Agency Performance Management
- Ensure all externally sourced new leaders meet the necessary validation requirements for their roles.
- Drive growth in headcount and production through strategic leadership and support.
- Monitor and ensure all leaders meet minimum rank retention requirements and work towards achieving leader segmentation status.
- Develop and manage programs to ensure Agency Leaders meet rank retention validation requirements, such as production credit, active agent count, and conservation rate.
- Conduct planning sessions with the agency force at the zone level.
- Hold regular meetings with agency leaders to drive sales and recruitment performance.
Sales Management and Administration
- Collaborate with the Recruitment Team, Leader Development Team, and existing Agency Leaders to support initiatives like the Leader Recruitment Program and the Experienced Manager Program.
- Develop and execute strategies at the zone level to meet focus area objectives.
- Reinforce company communications and initiatives through agency meetings.
- Develop, implement, promote, and monitor sales and recruitment programs and campaigns at the zone level.
- Evaluate and recommend approval on matters beyond personal approval authority.
- Build and maintain a professional and ethical agency force at the zone level, in line with regulatory, industry, and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in sales, business development, and agency management, preferably in a life insurance setting.
- Proven track record of holding key positions that align with the responsibilities of this role.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
- Demonstrated leadership and excellent management skills.
- High sense of business ethics and professionalism.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
