Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects from the initial calculations to the final figures. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will ensure value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review contract documents for construction projects ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage the costs of construction projects to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and engineers to plan and execute tasks.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, labor, and time requirements.
  • Monitor the project's financial progress, including payments, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Negotiate subcontractor agreements and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Analyze variances from the budget and offer solutions for cost optimization.
  • Conduct site visits to assess and report on project status and requirements.
  • Utilize industry-standard software to manage and report on project data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate specifications and modifications as needed.
  • Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely reports for management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in project evaluation.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable project agreements.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Understanding of building regulations, contracts, and legislation within the industry.
