Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment by ensuring they are clean and ready for daily operations.
• Assist researchers in conducting experiments according to strict protocols and guidelines.
• Record and analyze data meticulously to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of experiments.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments as per schedule.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment to promote efficiency and safety.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe work environment.
• Prepare and label samples accurately to support various lab investigations and analyses.
• Order and stock laboratory supplies and chemicals to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Communicate findings and issues with senior laboratory staff to support ongoing research projects.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials following proper safety regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in developing and updating laboratory procedures to improve processes and safety.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest laboratory techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Previous laboratory experience or internship experience in a similar setting is preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory safety procedures and handling of hazardous materials.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office Suite and laboratory data management software.
