Job Description

As an Associate Vendor Management professional, you will play a crucial role in fostering robust partnerships with vendors and suppliers to enhance business operations and deliver first-class service. This position involves overseeing vendor evaluation, onboarding, maintenance, and performance management. You will be responsible for ensuring that vendors comply with the company’s strategic goals and standards. Effective communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are paramount in this role to manage complex vendor relationships and contracts effectively. As the liaison between the company and its vendors, you will work closely with other departments to optimize vendor performance and address any issues that arise swiftly and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of vendor performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify vendor needs and develop criteria for evaluation.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and deliverables with vendors to ensure mutual benefits.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor agreements, correspondence, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies to improve relationships and outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective communication with vendors to address contract-related inquiries and issues.
  • Monitor procurement processes to identify areas of improvement and cost savings opportunities.
  • Ensure vendor activities align with the company’s sustainability and compliance goals.
  • Assist in resolving disputes and conflicts with vendors in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present reports on vendor performance and contract compliance to senior management.
  • Review and approve invoices, ensuring they align with agreed terms and conditions.
  • Participate in vendor selection processes to ensure high-quality and reliable partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in vendor management or similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in vendor management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Experience in supervising and coordinating multiple vendor accounts simultaneously.
