Senior Financial Accountant AU IT MSP WFH 6-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PHT)

Contract Type: 6-month contract (Maternity Leave Cover), with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.

Work Setup: Remote, with an initial 1-2 week training period in Cebu. Travel expenses will be covered by the client, after which the role will transition to a fully remote setup.

What are we looking for?

Skills Required

• 4+ years of experience in financial or corporate accounting, preferably within an Australian business environment
• Strong experience in month-end close, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Solid knowledge of Australian tax compliance, including GST, FBT, and income tax
• Experience with financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting
• Hands-on experience with fixed assets, capex, and lease accounting
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting
• Experience supporting internal and external audits
  
  

What will you do?

The Senior Financial Accountant will have ownership over the general ledger, month- end process, australian tax compliance and financial reporting framework.

• Manage the month-end process including submission of results to the Group.
• Ensure timely completion of all balance sheet reconciliations.
• Accurate completion of all financial reporting requirements including statutory reporting, regulatory statistica returns, local management reporting, variance analysis and commentary.
• Proactively ensuring compliance with accounting standards and guidelines as well as regulatory/legislative requirements.
• Driving continuous improvement within the Finance function to ensure that our systems, tools and processes are fit for purpose.
• Provide accounting guidance to the team as well as the wider business.
• Assist with the timely preparation and lodgement of the Income Tax, FBT and GST returns.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Liaise with external auditors as part of the interim and year-end audit.
• Manage the capex and fixed asset register & lease accounting. Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
