The Position
The Quality Engineer reports directly to the Oceania Regional Regulatory Compliance Manager and provides oversight, development, and handling of Part-145 Compliance Monitoring System (CMS) and Safety Management System (SMS) programs, approvals, processes, and procedures ensuring adherence to policies and standards within the framework of National Aviation Authority (NAA) requirements applicable for Aircraft Line Maintenance operation (Australia & New Zealand). Collaborates and supports Panasonic Technical Services (PTS) with CMS/SMS leadership providing guidance and support in handling aircraft line maintenance operations. Performs technical administration in the achievement of maintaining compliance of the audit schedule, issuance of authorizations, management of approved documents and other task relevant to CMS and SMS.
Duties And Responsibilities
Program Monitoring & Authorizations:
Provides interpretation of policies, regulatory/governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance.
Develop and maintain procedure framework to ensure regulatory, customer and internal compliance requirements are met.
Ensure upkeep, assessment and distribution of all regulatory material and ensuring compliance with such documents.
Audit
Plan, conduct, and complete Audit at various Panasonic Technical Services aircraft Line Maintenance locations to verify that regulatory, customer and internal CMS/SMS requirements are met.
Record any observed non-compliance/conformance or unacceptable standards and bring to the attention of the responsible manager/individual concerned, with a time scale for remedial action to be completed.
Monitor preventative/corrective actions to ensure timely resolution.
Support and interface with PAC Customers and NAAs during site certification or recertification audits.
Support special audits and independent assessments as assigned.
Process Improvement
Ensure CMS/SMS programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.
Collaborate with the global CMS/SMS team to develop uniform standards worldwide.
Evaluate and develop improved (effectivity) techniques for the control of compliance and increased customer satisfaction.
Analyze performance/activity data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Recommend and support corporate level improvement initiatives and actions whilst ensuring that NAA compliance takes precedence.
Prepare presentations and report on activities relating to CMS/SMS activities.
Training
Develop, deliver, and improve CMS/SMS related training.
Other Tasks
Maintain and update CMS/SMS databases/sources as applicable.
Any other duties as assigned by the Oceania Regional Regulatory Compliance Manager.

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Education/Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of related experience in similar field.
LAME/Part-66 license and/or Bachelors in Aviation Maintenance or Aviation related discipline or equivalent experience in the Part 145 or Airline regulatory framework is desirable.
Versatile, tech-savvy professional with exceptional communication skills and the creative problem-solving expertise to thrive in a complex, multicultural environment
Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/365, Project, and Visio.
Available to travel domestically and internationally (~25% of the time)
