Job Description

This Manager is responsible for the entire lifecycle of security products, including market analysis, strategy, development, and commercialization. Key duties involve collaborating with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define and launch products like anti-DDoS, managed firewall, SASE services etc, while also working with vendors, partners, and customers. The role requires a combination of strategic planning, technical understanding, and business acumen to drive product growth and meet customer needs in the evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Your Role

  • Develop and manage PCCW Global’s security products for all sales and customers to achieve product revenue and profit targets
  • Support pre-sales and sales teams with customer proposals and bids related to security services and solutions
  • Monitor market trends for security products globally, proactively respond to changing customer requirements, recommend actions such as security partner development, marketing promotions, and engage in sales activities to ensure the Annual Operational Plan (AOP) targets are met
  • Lead and oversee network augmentation and expansion projects with Engineering, Project Management and partners related to security products
  • Collaborate closely with the project managers, engineers, customers and partners to carry out PoC (Proof of Concept) or provision / maintain Security Service
  • Collaborate closely with the Vendor Management team to drive network cost-saving initiatives
  • Ensure updated security product information (e.g. costing, implementation guideline, service features, capabilities, and coverage) is maintained on timely manner
  • Provided support in product planning and development that contribute to AOP planning
  • Prepare business cases for capital and operational expenditure funding to support security product development and network augmentation
  • Perform additional activities, duties, or responsibilities as required

To Succeed in this Role

  • Undergraduate degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, IT or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant security product management experience in the telecom or IT industry
  • Solid product/technical knowledge of Security solutions such as Anti-DDoS, Fortinet SASE, CloudFare cloud security etc, for enterprises and wholesale carriers
  • General technical knowledge on routing mechanism of Internet ecosystem
  • Experience/qualification in security vendor technology is an advantage but not mandator
  • Good knowledge of Cloud/Automation tools such as Google Workspace, and data analytics tools such as Power BI, is an advantage
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills; Highly motivated and results-oriented
  • Language skills: Cantonese, Mandarin and English (verbal and written) is required
  • Willing to travel overseas to meet customers, vendors, and attend trade shows as required by business needs
