Responsibilities

• Monitor poultry health, including checking for signs of illness or injury promptly.
• Coordinate and supervise farm staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of production, feed, medication, and mortality rates.
• Implement strategies to improve productivity and minimize operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and animal welfare standards.
• Manage inventory levels of feed, supplies, and medications effectively.
• Perform regular equipment inspections and schedule maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and technical consultants to optimize flock health.
• Provide timely reports and updates to the farm manager concerning operations.
• Resolve any conflicts or issues among team members or within the operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in poultry farming or a related agricultural field is required.
• Strong knowledge of poultry husbandry and general farm operations essential.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills are mandatory for this role.
• Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and flexible schedules including weekends.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
