Job Description

The Senior Logistics Planning and Operations Analyst is a pivotal role that combines strategic planning with practical execution to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations. The individual will be responsible for analyzing the current logistics setup, forecasting future requirements, and implementing enhanced strategies to achieve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, operations, and finance teams for aligned objectives.
  • Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Monitor and report on key logistics performance indicators regularly.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party logistics providers to optimize service.
  • Forecast future logistics requirements and plan accordingly.
  • Train and mentor junior analysts to develop their skills and capabilities.
  • Manage logistics budgets and negotiate contracts with service providers.
  • Utilize software and tools to enhance logistics planning and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics planning and operations roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with logistics software systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
