Job Description

As a Restaurant Manager, you will be the driving force behind the smooth operational flow and exceptional service of our dining establishment. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our restaurant not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our guests by delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of staff members, ensuring that they adhere to our organization's standards and providing them with guidance and support. A keen sense for business management, paired with a passion for hospitality and leadership, are essential for success in this role. As the face of our restaurant, your demeanor and managerial skills will greatly influence our guest satisfaction and overall restaurant success. You will also have the responsibility of managing the restaurant floor, assisting with staff training, coordinating communication between the kitchen and the front of house, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop strategies to improve customer service, increase guest satisfaction and business outcomes.
  • Implement best business practices and continuously evaluate restaurant operations and processes.
  • Manage staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage during peak dining periods.
  • Direct, coach, and support restaurant staff in achieving desired service goals.
  • Maintain high-quality food standards and service levels throughout the restaurant.
  • Address any customer complaints or issues promptly to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Plan and execute staff training programs to enhance staff competencies and skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
  • Analyze financial reports and work towards achieving financial goals for the restaurant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or business administration preferred.
  • Proven work experience as a restaurant manager or a similar position.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of restaurant management software programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food compliance and health regulations and standards.
  • Ability to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service focus and the ability to manage difficult situations.
